Furly is a pet product recommendation platform based in the United States. We help pet owners discover quality products for their dogs and cats through curated recommendations, original editorial content, and our AI Pet Advisor. This privacy policy explains how we handle information when you visit furly.blog.

Information You Provide

• Chat messages: When you use the AI Pet Advisor, we temporarily store your conversation to provide relevant product recommendations during your session. Chat sessions are anonymous — we do not require any personal information such as your name or email to use the advisor.
• Contact information: If you email us directly at privacy@furly.blog, we retain that correspondence to respond to your inquiry.

Information Collected Automatically

• Standard server logs: Our hosting providers (Vercel and Render) automatically log IP addresses, browser type, referring pages, and timestamps. This is standard web infrastructure — we do not use this data for profiling or advertising.
• Cookies: We use essential cookies for basic site functionality. We do not use tracking cookies, advertising pixels, or third-party analytics cookies. No data is sold to advertisers.

Amazon Affiliate Links

Furly is a participant in the Amazon Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by linking to Amazon.com. When you click a product link on Furly, you are directed to Amazon’s website. At that point, Amazon’s own privacy policy governs your data.

What this means for you: clicking an affiliate link does not share your personal information with Furly. Amazon tells us that a purchase was made through our link, but we do not receive your name, address, payment details, or any personally identifiable information from Amazon. We only receive aggregate commission reports.

Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate Furly:

• Vercel — hosts our website. Subject to Vercel’s privacy policy.
• Render — hosts our backend API. Subject to Render’s privacy policy.
• Supabase — our database provider. Stores product catalog data and anonymous chat sessions. Subject to Supabase’s privacy policy.
• Anthropic (Claude) — powers our AI Pet Advisor. Your chat messages are sent to Anthropic’s API to generate responses. Subject to Anthropic’s usage policy.
• Amazon Associates — provides product data and affiliate link tracking. Subject to Amazon’s privacy policy.

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with any other parties beyond what is described above.

Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

• Request access to any personal data we hold about you
• Request deletion of your data
• Opt out of any future data collection

Because we collect minimal data and do not require accounts, there is very little personal data to manage. If you have used the AI Pet Advisor and want your chat session deleted, contact us and we will remove it promptly.

Children’s Privacy

Furly is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
